Problems With Sudden Wealth

I think the NFL does a good job handling the discipline issues that come up on a regular basis. Some draft picks have been arrested for drunk driving and other traffic offenses. The league attempts to educate rookies by holding seminars for them. It helps, but doesn't prevent all of the problems.

Many players come from difficult economic backgrounds. All of a sudden, they have a ton of money and are in the spotlight. Many have a maturity issue. It's easy to see why the have some of their problems.
