A Bad Position To Be In


NFL running backs are becoming an endangered species. Gone are the days of the highly paid back. Their shelf life is often less than five years. Free agent backs failed to get any big and long term contracts this off-season.

Some of the better college backs are leaving school a year early because they know the long term money won't be there. A couple have publicly questioned why they play that position. They are right on that. They would have been better off as a defensive back or receiver. That's where the money is.
