The Big Shadow

We always hear stories of athletes who need to decide between two sports. Like Tom Brady, they drafted by the NFL and MLB.

Tyler Griffey, son of Hall of Fame baseball player Ken Griffey decided to pursue football in spite of being drafted by the Seattle Mariners as a center fielder in the 24th round of the 2016 baseball draft.

His name was never called on NFL draft day. He was able to sign with the Colts, but got injured and released. He has a chance now with the Dolphins.

His career at Arizona showed impressive numbers, but he needs to separate himself from other receivers.

Does he get these opportunities because of his name and lineage?

He's living his dream right now.
