I think Donta Hightower made the right decision to return to the Pats. He got his money with a 4 year/$43.5 million contract. He has another chance to pursue Super Bowls with a team that can get there.

Going to the Jets would have been a step back for him. It's pointless to be part of a rebuilding process when you have a chance to win here.

I commend the Steelers for saying their offer would either be signed or pulled back. The Jets looked foolish with their cupcake episode in honor of Hightower's 27th birthday.
