No Surprise Here

The Pats will go forward for the rest of their schedule without TE Rob Gronkowski. He has seen limited action since breaking his forearm. He did it again last night on the first ball thrown to him. The Ravens will no longer need to plan against him.

The fact that he broke his arm again didn't surprise me. I thought it was very risky for him to play with that big cast on his arm. The decision to get players onto the field often gets blurry when it comes to injuries.

Players land in awkward positions all the time. Many of them try to brace themselves by using their arms before they hit the ground. I'm surprised there are not more broken arms. In Gronk's tenure with the team, I have seen him use his arms when he hits the ground. It was almost inevitable that his arm would break at some point.
