Hoyer In San Francisco

QB Brian Hoyer continues his career for his ninth season, in spite of being an undrafted free agent out of Michigan State in 2009.

After three seasons as a backup to Tom Brady, he had stops in Pittsburgh, Arizona, Cleveland, Houston, Chicago and now in San Francisco. He connected with current rookie coach Kyle Shanahan during their days in Cleveland. He has the inside track to be the starter.

He was doing well in Chicago last season until he broke his left arm and ended up on IR.

Hoyer is a study in perseverance between being undrafted and playing for seven teams.
