Expensive Mistakes and Injuries

The NFL has a new policy of not inviting prospects to the Scouting Combine who have arrests for domestic violence, sexual assault or weapons charges.

DL Jeffery Simmons of Mississippi State was projected to be a first round pick. His arrest for hitting a women in high school resulted in him being barred from the Combine.

Things got worse the other day when he tore his ACL while training. He will probably miss most of the season, but his draft stock has dropped considerably. This has already cost him several million dollars which he might never get back.
